Double Fine Productions has set a date for Thank You Bus Driver, its first game after leaving Xbox. It launches on PC on October 14, 2026 via Steam, GOG, Humble and itch.io.
What it is
You drive a small-town bus with three jobs: hit the next stop, stay on schedule, and stop passengers from breaking the day’s rules — rules that change constantly.
Offenders get slapped. Repeat offenders go out the back door. Happy riders give “Thank Yous,” which buy extra time and unlock bus trinkets and town variants.
Why it matters
Xbox spun Double Fine out in July 2026. The studio kept its IP. This title comes from Double Fine Action Labs, a label for short, weird games, designed by Will Koehler with a small team in weeks.
