Edgerunners 2 gets the Something Real sneak peek two weeks before premiere

Netflix, Studio Trigger, and CD Projekt Red released a new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 sneak peek on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, titled Something Real. The clip lands two weeks before the premiere, set for October 20 on Netflix, and is not the September footage centered on Weak Kingsley.

This cut puts Roman Carax and Talia at the center. Roman tries to film Talia as she gets used to Maelstrom-style implants. The video description sums up the angle: in a city obsessed with braindance, sometimes you have to search for something real. The clip is on Netflix's YouTube channel.

What this clip adds

The series remains a standalone 10-episode story in the Cyberpunk 2077 world, earlier described as a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge. The main cast, already shown in earlier materials, does not change in this video:

  • Weak Kingsley, the veteran once known as King: Kentaro Tone in Japanese and Clancy Brown in English;
  • D, a Snake Nation netrunner hunting revenge: Koki Uchiyama and Nazeeh Tarsha;
  • Talia, raised in corpo towers and hardened in Maelstrom: Akari Kito and Kimoy Lee;
  • Roman Carax, a cinephile chasing real stories in a city that traded film for braindance: Momoka Terasawa and Valeria Rodriguez.

Direction remains with Kai Ikarashi, who directed episode 6 of the first season. Character design remains with Ichigo Kanno. That is not new in this clip; what changes is the Roman and Talia focus.

Music already confirmed

The opening remains The Cure's 10:15 Saturday Night. The ending is Petite Meller's original track Watson. Rico Nasty performs You Can't Run From Me, written for the series. Another track cited in recent material is A Rusty Dream by DOUDOU (Du Binger / Du Feier), recorded, mixed, and mastered by Yuyunhsieh.
