The standard edition of EA Sports FC 27 unlocks on PC on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 23:00 UTC. On PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, the game opens at midnight local time on Friday, September 25. Ultimate and Ultimate Plus owners have been playing since September 18.
What happened?
Electronic Arts confirmed the official schedule: PC uses one global time; consoles unlock at 00:00 on the 25th in each region. The game ships on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. FC 27 Lite, a free Kick-Off slice, arrives on September 25 at 16:00 UTC.
The current-gen headline is The Grounds, an open-world social hub with three districts inspired by different football cultures. Clubs, Rush, kickabouts and 1v1 live there. The mode runs only on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Switch 2.
Why it matters
FC 27 is EA's flagship annual football game and the first season to make The Grounds the permanent home of Clubs. Career Mode now uses Transfer Room's Expected Transfer Value as a price anchor. Icons launch as Debut cards (85–86) and later upgrade to Champion cards (89–91).
EA cites more than 21,000 players, 800 clubs and national teams, 140 stadiums and 35 leagues. Rebuilt venues include Arsenal's Emirates and Stuttgart's MHPArena.
