The Zero Parades Director's Cut landed on PC storefronts on Thursday, October 1, 2026. ZA/UM, the studio behind Disco Elysium, calls the Zero Parades Director's Cut the definitive edition of the espionage RPG and is giving it away to anyone who already owns Zero Parades: For Dead Spies.
What happened?
In the official Steam post, the studio confirmed the update is live on PC stores. New buyers now see the Director's Cut as the available version. The PlayStation 5 release is set for November 3, 2026. Xbox and Nintendo Switch have not been confirmed.
The original game launched in May 2026. The studio describes the package as the end of post-launch PC support and says it makes the game feel tangibly different from the debut build. GameSpot had reported the calendar in September.
What is in the package?
- A new dramatic encounter: Hershel and Ramses, under the influence, try to leave Quisach Roundabout in a hijacked tuk-tuk. Miss the exit and things can turn existential and fatal.
- About 40,000 new words, including L-Pop talk with Ramses, dolphin-human hybridity with HOLOCENE, and more Opera material with Melita.
- Backstage mode, with development notes, cut content, and art-direction breakdowns.
- Completed English voice-over, a new opening, and a fresh audio mix.
- New clothes for Hershel, with NPC reactions and interactions tied to the outfit.
Why it matters
Zero Parades is ZA/UM's first major game after Disco Elysium. The Zero Parades Director's Cut is the cut the studio wants new players to find, in the same spirit as Disco Elysium's Final Cut. Anyone who already finished the campaign gets a new block of text and a new encounter at no extra cost. Console players wait until November.
What changes in practice?
On PC, update the game. On PS5, the date is November 3. The primary source is the October 1 Steam post, cross-checked with GameSpot's September coverage.
