Coffee Stain Studios announced Satisfactory Core Values, the first paid DLC for Satisfactory, at the September 29 Big Break Showcase. Instead of repeating the surface of MASSAGE-2(A-B)b in the dark, the expansion sends pioneers into a cave system with new resources, flora, fauna, buildings and a story that runs alongside the main campaign.
What happened?
The Steam page describes Satisfactory Core Values as a major expansion: an underground factory network, new production lines and more planetary context the deeper you go. Date and price are unannounced. Launch is planned same-day on PC (Steam and Epic), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Game director Emmet Burke told Rock Paper Shotgun that base-game belts will not be the spine of underground logistics. “You will not be using belts.” New transport tools should keep the DLC from being the same loop with a different ore.
Why it matters
Satisfactory has already seen huge Steam concurrency. Post-launch support was free updates. A paid DLC means Coffee Stain wants a second act with its own budget.
The expansion unlocks after HUB Tier 3 — coal and steel, after the Space Elevator — and can be played in parallel. There is a new power system, cavern biomes and a friendly feline creature, the team told Inven Global.
In practice
Owners can wishlist the DLC. New players need Tier 3. Consoles ship the same day as PC. Hours, price and how surface saves talk to the underground beyond that trigger are still open. The studio pitch is simple: not the same game with the lights off.
