The iQOO Pad Ultra now has official display specs four days before the September 29 China event. The brand confirmed an 8.8-inch OLED with 165Hz, 2.65mm equal bezels, sub-1ms response, 4,500-nit local peak and 93.3% screen-to-body ratio.
What happened?
On September 25 iQOO posted the display poster for the iQOO Pad Ultra. The compact slate already had a name, about 298g weight, 5.74mm thickness and a shared stage with the iQOO 16 phone. The new headline is the panel: an 8.8-inch gaming OLED at 165Hz with high peak brightness.
At the Snapdragon Summit, vivo said the iQOO Pad Ultra is in the first wave of Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, Qualcomm's 2nm top-tier chip. Cooling pairs a 30 x 30 x 3.5mm internal fan with a dual-layer vapor chamber. There are symmetric stereo speakers and dual X-axis linear motors.
Why it matters
8.8-inch Android slates are now their own category, the same cut as the Legion Tab. The iQOO Pad Ultra raises the ceiling with a next-gen chip, active cooling and a 165Hz OLED. A second Pro model with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected, pointing to two price tiers at the same screen size.
Official accessories include a two-sided gamepad and a clip-on grip case. Colors: Ender Black and Star Silver. Price and a global SKU are still unannounced.
What changes in practice
Anyone waiting for a small lap tablet for couch play has a date: September 29 at 19:00 China time, on the same stage as the iQOO 16. Battery, charging and memory still need a full sheet. Earlier reports mention a 9,000mAh-class pack, not confirmed in this spec drop.
