QUByte Interactive set October 22, 2026, as the launch date for Gaelco Sports Collection, a pack of five Gaelco arcade games. Announced platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
What is in the pack
The core is the isometric racers World Rally Championship and World Rally 2, with varied surfaces, tight corners, a 60-second countdown, and ghost cars. The collection also includes snowboarding game Snowboard Championship, racket game Squash, and two-versus-two volleyball Touch and Go.
QUByte describes the pack as arcade action with local multiplayer, in the style of cabinet sessions. Modern updates cited in the announcement include save states at any point, smoother screen scrolling, and a museum gallery with original manuals and historic arcade art.
Why it matters
Gaelco, a Spanish arcade studio of the 1990s, rarely appears in official reissues. This is not a same-day launch: it is the window announcement, made on October 1, with a date trailer. Price was not detailed in the statement carried by specialist coverage.
The Steam page for the QUByte Classics edition is at store.steampowered.com/app/4746930.
