The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop anime premieres in January 2027

The anime The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop (original title Sudachi no Maōjō) received a second teaser, a new visual and a confirmed January 2027 premiere on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The Starter Shop update came from the official site, reported by Anime News Network.

What happened?

The Starter Shop TV series premieres in January on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS11 and other channels. The site has not listed an exact day or a streaming window outside Japan. Yōhei Azakami joins the cast as Ash, the hero who defeated the Demon Lord. Already announced, Reiji Kawashima voices Murabito (Villager) and Rumi Ōkubo voices Mao.

Jun Taira directs Starter Shop at studio project No.9. Keiichirō Ōchi handles series scripts and Katsuyuki Sato designs the characters. Music is by Takurō Iga, with music production by Avex Pictures. Sound direction is by Noboru Haraguchi.

Why it matters

Makoto Morishita’s manga, the basis of Starter Shop, began in October 2021 in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine. The 14th compiled volume ships on October 16, 2026. In English, the series runs on K MANGA. The premise flips the item-shop cliché: after the hero beats the Demon Lord, the beginner village loses customers, and the shop The Nest risks closing until a mysterious girl arrives.

What changes in practice

Viewers following the Starter Shop adaptation announced in June now have a premiere window and the third lead cast name. There is no public confirmation of a Portuguese dub or simulcast. The June 25 announcement already pointed to January 2027; the October 6 material adds Ash and a second promo video.
