Microsoft published on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the first mid-October wave for Xbox Game Pass. The catalog headline is Battlefield 6, arriving October 13 for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on cloud, Xbox Series and PC. The same day brings the first-person soulslike Valor Mortis, from the creators of Ghostrunner, and the co-op dungeon crawler Deep Dish Dungeon, both on day one.
Before that, October 8 marks three arrivals on Xbox Game Pass. Forever Ago, a road-trip adventure in which Alfred travels north after a stroke of fate, launches the same day on cloud, console and PC. Echo Weaver, a time-loop metroidvania, also arrives day one on cloud, Xbox Series and PC. Neon Abyss 2 joins the same day and is the only one of the three also listed on Game Pass Premium, alongside Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
What else arrives, and what leaves
On October 15, Bluey's Happy Snaps, a photo adventure based on the series, and the co-op gladiator roguelike Chained Beasts join. On the 16th, Beyond These Stars arrives on PC only: the player builds a city on the back of a space whale. Microsoft also pointed to titles already available, including Shape of Dreams, Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day.
The counterpart is the October 15 departure list. Leaving the catalog are Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Pacific Drive, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview, PC), Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone. The official list recommends buying the games at a discount before they leave if players want to keep them.
In the Xbox Wire post, Megan Spurr, Game Pass community lead, organizes the wave by date and tier. Battlefield 6 is limited to Ultimate and PC Game Pass; those subscribers also get EA Play included, with the EA Play Deployment Pack, the Season 5 EA Play Pack and 10% off eligible EA digital purchases. The announcement does not mention last-generation console versions for the main launches in this wave.
