California startup WiCi introduced the WiCi One, a box that parks an NVIDIA GPU outside the laptop and delivers it over the air. There is no Thunderbolt or OCuLink cable: the device uses a Wi-Fi 7 4×4 MIMO radio on a 320 MHz channel and a virtual driver that, the company says, makes the card appear as a local GPU on Windows, macOS and Linux.
The entry model has a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB of GDDR7, an Intel Core 3 100U and a 1 TB NVMe 4 SSD. A higher SKU pairs an RTX 5090 with 32 GB of GDDR7, an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H and 4 TB of NVMe 5. The 5060 Ti edition is $1,999 for early signups and $2,599 later. The 5090 has no price yet. WiCi expects shipping in Q4 2026 and will demo the product in New York on October 5 and 6.

Not cloud gaming
WiCi insists the One is not a remote-play PC. The game or app still runs on the user's device; the box only takes the graphics load. There are three modes: a virtual driver for unmodified apps, an SDK (Python, JavaScript and Swift) and an OpenAI-compatible endpoint for local models.
In WiCi's own tests, the RTX 5060 Ti version hits 80 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K Ultra with DLSS 4 and 60 FPS in Black Myth: Wukong at the 4K Cinematic preset. Those numbers have not been independently reproduced.
The radio bottleneck
Wi-Fi 7's theoretical ceiling of about 46 Gbps assumes 16 spatial streams. WiCi's 4×4 radio sits around 11.5 Gbps at the PHY layer — well below Thunderbolt 4's 32 Gbps or the 64 Gbps of Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink.
WiCi says caching, compression and its protocol close the gap. The public demo shows the box a few centimeters from the laptop. Distance, walls and shared-network traffic still lack independent measurement.
Why it matters
Thin laptops and tablets could tap desktop-class graphics without a thicker chassis. One box can serve several clients. Data stays on the local network. What remains unconfirmed is real-world performance, game latency, driver stability and the RTX 5090 price.
