Toonami, Adult Swim's programming block, confirmed on Friday, October 2, that it will air Wind Breaker and Gachiakuta on US television. Wind Breaker joins on October 10; Gachiakuta on October 17. Because the block airs after midnight, the effective premiere falls in the early hours of Saturday into Sunday on the American calendar.
The schedule released for October 17, in Eastern time (EDT), places Get Jiro! at midnight, Wind Breaker at 12:30 a.m., Gachiakuta at 1 a.m., One Piece at 1:30 a.m., IGPX at 2 a.m., Lazarus at 2:30 a.m. and Blue Exorcist at 3 a.m., with a Get Jiro! replay at 3:30 a.m. A Toonami Squad report, based on the block's official Facebook page, gives the same premiere slot for Wind Breaker on October 10 at 12:30 a.m. and for Gachiakuta on October 17 at 1 a.m.
What arrives on US TV
Wind Breaker, adapted from Satoru Nii's manga, premiered in Japan in April 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the series and an English dub. The second season began in April 2025. Gachiakuta, from Kei Urana's manga, premiered in July 2025 on CBC, TBS and other Japanese channels, also with a simulcast and English dub on Crunchyroll. A second season has already been announced.
The announcement does not change streaming availability. What changes is linear access: both titles move into the slot that, in the US, still works as a shop window for action anime for viewers on cable or the Adult Swim app. Get Jiro!, an animated series also joining the block on October 10, shares the night with both anime on the October 17 lineup.
