Japanese studio Land-Ho announced the Switch 2 RECAIUS prototype Voice-controlled robot RECAIUS, a 3D action build for Nintendo Switch 2 in which attacks are shouted, not pressed.
The build uses Toshiba's RECAIUS voice middleware, including Voice Trigger and ToSpeak. At Toshiba's booth at CEDEC 2026 in Yokohama (July 22–24), the giant robot reacted to shouted commands such as punch, kick and Meteor Press.
What the demo is
It is a destruction-focused giant-robot prototype, not a retail announcement. Land-Ho says a director, a programmer and a designer shipped the development ROM in about a month.
Why it was announced
Land-Ho, part of Orchestra Holdings, is pitching a voice-interface contract service: role-play dialogue, accessibility shortcuts on Switch 2, and team voice chat that recognizes speech and re-synthesizes it in another voice or language. The studio already used ToSpeak on Derby Stallion 2 for Switch 2 (Parity Bit / Game Addict).
What is not confirmed
There is no commercial release date, no public Nintendo endorsement beyond the fact that the ROM ran on a Switch 2 development kit, and no independent latency figures. The notice is from the developer, circulated on September 29, 2026.
