SiN Reloaded is out on Steam and consoles: the 1998 FPS returns on KEX Engine

SiN Reloaded is available now. The remaster of Ritual Entertainment's 1998 first-person shooter, led by Nightdive Studios and published by Nightdive and Atari, launched on September 24, 2026 for PC (Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

The package includes the original campaign and the Wages of SiN mission pack, both running on Nightdive's KEX Engine. The official date was announced in August; the Steam page and specialist outlets confirmed the release this week.

What the remaster changes

According to Nightdive, players control security consultant John R. Blade against Dr. Elexis Sinclaire and SinTEK, which is spreading a DNA-altering drug. The original was known for interactive levels on the Quake II engine: DOS-style terminals, cameras, elevators and vehicles such as a forklift, patrol boat and helicopter, plus branching paths based on player actions.

Announced improvements in Reloaded include HD textures, up to 4K at 144 FPS on PC, modernized controls, a toggle for the original SiN Gold look, new achievements and a remixed Zak Belika soundtrack.

The Switch version can be digitally upgraded to the Switch 2 Edition at no extra cost, according to Nightdive.
