Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op lets six players finish the whole campaign

The Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op mod is in alpha and changes multiplayer in Scholar of the First Sin on PC. Modder Yui, known for similar tools for Elden Ring and the first Dark Souls, released a build that aims for one continuous co-op session from the tutorial to the final boss.

What Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op changes

In the vanilla game, summoning a friend meant stopping at fog walls and restarting after a death or a boss. Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co-op removes those walls, syncs progress and keeps the group together. Dead players respawn at the last bonfire without dropping the session.

The cap is host plus five others. Yui wrote on Patreon that a full Drangleic run in one sitting is theoretically possible. Invasions can be disabled in the config file.

Why it matters

The campaign gets easier and combat balance shifts. That is not the original FromSoftware design. It is still the most direct way to play Scholar of the First Sin with friends on PC.

The alpha already received an Intel performance fix. The mod is 64-bit PC only and listed on Nexus Mods. Source: PC Gamer.
