Persona 4 Revival gets a Shadow trailer and keeps its February 2027 launch

Atlus published the Shadow trailer for Persona 4 Revival on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The remake of the 2008 RPG returns to the mystery in Inaba: a string of unusual murders disturbs the quiet town as word of the Midnight Channel spreads. The protagonist and his classmates try to connect the two and come face to face with Shadows, manifestations of a person's other self.

The official description, carried by Gematsu and RPG Site, invites players to awaken the power of Personas and uncover the truth within the fog when the game launches. English and Japanese versions of the trailer are available. Famitsu also highlighted the clip as a look at the Shadows standing in the group's way.

When it arrives and on which platforms

According to Gematsu and RPG Site, Persona 4 Revival launches on February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. Nintendo Switch 2 follows on May 20, 2027. The game will also be available on Game Pass. IGN posted the official trailer the same day and described the title as a remake of Atlus's RPG.

The announcement does not include a price, a full list of gameplay changes or confirmation of a Brazilian Portuguese dub. What is confirmed is the narrative focus of the new video and the schedule already given by the publisher.

Why it matters

Persona 4 helped define the modern Atlus formula: a small-town investigation, school life and battles against the hidden side of its characters. A trailer built around the Shadows, months before launch, is a reminder of the mystery rather than another character showcase. For anyone following the remake, February on PS5, Xbox and PC, with Switch 2 in May, remains the official reference.
