South Korea’s ONE Store now accepts AI-made games from anyone through its ONEconsole developer center. The aisle launched in August as a curated shelf. It is no longer a closed club.
What changes
According to Inven Global and the official ONEconsole guide, developers tick “Whether AI was used = Yes” when they register an app. That flag cannot be flipped later. Titles then compete for the AI Games shelf.
The store will favor HTML5 web games that run with no install. The ONE Store web SDK can add in-app purchases and ads. Distribution for this category is Korea-only for now.
What players will see
In early October the section moves to a permanent bottom tab. Verse8 titles that fed the August curation stay; outsider submissions join them. ONE Store says it will surface the more polished builds first.
Why it matters
Big stores still treat prompt-built games as noise. ONE Store is trying to be the door for people who shipped a game from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini without a studio. CEO Henry Chang talked about an “avalanche” of AI games.
There is no extra review lane just because a game used AI. Normal web-app rules apply. Discovery and payments will decide if the shelf is a lab or a junk drawer.
