No Man's Sky iOS officially arrived on iPhone and iPad on October 28, 2026, bringing the full space exploration experience from Hello Games, including more than 40 major updates. The launch coincided with the free Halloween-themed Forsaken update, available on all platforms.
What do we know about No Man's Sky on iOS?
According to Hello Games and reports from The Verge, Digital Foundry and Eurogamer, the mobile version includes the complete procedurally generated universe, with a download of about 4 to 5 GB. It supports iPhone 11 and later, plus 3rd-generation iPad Air and above. Custom touch controls, controller support, mouse and keyboard on iPad, and the beginning of the game is free to try.
Features like multiplayer and planetary settlements are left out at launch, but the team promises ongoing support based on feedback, as it did on Switch. The Forsaken update adds spooky locations, biomechanical creatures, delivery missions and seamless warping between stars.
Why does this matter?
After a decade of free updates that transformed No Man's Sky from an initial disappointment into one of the biggest exploration successes, the arrival on mobile significantly expands the audience. Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, highlighted the technical challenge of running the game on devices from 2019 with good battery life.
The game is available on the App Store, with full unlock via one-time purchase.
