Nintendo Switch Online adds three GBA games to Nintendo Classics: Monster Rancher, Metal Slug and Kururin

Nintendo has announced the addition of three classic Game Boy Advance games to the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics app, available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

The titles are Monster Rancher Advance (Tecmo, 2001), Metal Slug Advance (SNK, 2004) and Kururin Paradise (Nintendo, 2002). The update went live on October 14, 2026, and is available on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

What arrived

  • Kururin Paradise: sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin, an action game in which the player controls a rotating stick-shaped helicopter (Helirin) through mazes while avoiding obstacles. It includes adventure, practice, challenge modes and a set of mini-games.
  • Metal Slug Advance: handheld version of SNK’s run-and-gun series, set during military training on an island.
  • Monster Rancher Advance: monster creation and battle game in which creatures are born from entered words.

Kururin Paradise was Japan-exclusive until now and marks one of the first times the game reaches Western markets through Nintendo’s official service. Metal Slug Advance and Monster Rancher Advance also gain new digital availability after years of relative scarcity.

The Nintendo Classics service gathers more than 270 titles from several generations and includes features such as rewind in many games.
