Kagurabachi adds another name to the cast: Yūichi Nakamura will voice Soshiro Azami, a sorcerer affiliated with the Kamunabi. CyberAgent revealed the casting on Friday, October 1, 2026, alongside a trailer and a character visual. Nakamura is known for Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen and Hawks in My Hero Academia.
The anime, adapting Takeru Hokazono's manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump since September 2023, premieres in April 2027. The international stream, outside Japan, mainland China, North Korea and South Korea, is also set for that month. Crunchyroll has already said it will carry the series.

What has already been shown
The anime's world tour began in July 2026, with the first 20 minutes of episode 1 screened at Anime Expo, Japan Expo Paris, ANImagic and, in August, Anime NYC. The Japan stop in spring 2027 is expected to show the full episode. Shueisha published volume 12 on September 4. Reported circulation: 2.2 million copies as of May 2025, and 4 million in the more recent figure cited by Anime News Network.
Friday's announcement does not change the premiere window. What changes is the voice of Azami, one of the Kamunabi names crossing Chihiro's hunt for his father's enchanted blades.
