The Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition arrives on PlayStation 5 on October 1, 2026, with the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion and the Most Wanted combat survival mode, in which Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima is a playable character. Sony and Sucker Punch announced the package in August. It bundles the base game, the Legends co-op mode and content that previously shipped with the Digital Deluxe edition.
What happened?
On the PlayStation Blog, Sucker Punch confirmed that the October 1 update delivers the new story expansion, the single-player combat mode and quality-of-life changes. The Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition costs US$69.99 and includes the main game, Ghost of Yotei Legends — co-op for up to four players, with modes that culminate in a raid — the Digital Deluxe content, the Charm of Hokkyokusei and both paid additions.
Players who already own the game can buy the Complete Edition Upgrade for US$14.99 and receive Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. According to the official blog, digital buyers who purchased by September 30 also unlock the Sakai Armor early on October 1 for Atsu, a nod to Jin’s family armor from Ghost of Tsushima.
On the Japanese PlayStation Blog, Sony highlighted that Jin Sakai joins as a playable character. Coverage of the September 3 State of Play says he uses his katana with the four Ghost of Tsushima stances inside Most Wanted, alongside Atsu, Oyuki and Nagato. The mode is repeatable combat; the new campaign lives in Echoes of Sekigahara.
Why it matters
Ghost of Yotei has been on PS5 for a year, and this is the game’s first major paid expansion. Bringing Jin back as a selectable fighter, not only as a cosmetic, links the two chapters without turning Yotei into a direct Tsushima sequel. A Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition at US$69.99, the same list price as the standard game, also gives newcomers a single entry point.
The US$14.99 upgrade separates new content from what is already owned. Legends remains in the full package, but owners of the original version do not need to buy the base game again to reach the expansion.
