GeForce NOW in October gains 25 new games, according to the list Nvidia confirmed early in the month and reported by GamingOnLinux and Ubergizmo. GeForce NOW in October mixes day-one releases with known catalog titles that can be played in the cloud without a local install.
What arrives this week
The first wave of GeForce NOW in October is already available to subscribers. Minecraft Dungeons II and Planet Coaster 2 arrive via Xbox Game Pass. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered is on the Microsoft Store. On Steam, the opening batch includes Nivalis Nights, Bookshop Simulator and Megastore: Tidy Up Together.
The month's calendar
On October 6, Gears of War: E-Day and Star Wars: Galactic Racer join on their Steam launch day. Geekiki already covered Galactic Racer's Metacritic score. October 8 brings Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival, Order of the Sinking Star and Silver Pines. Between October 9 and 14 Nvidia lists Permafrost, Deep Dish Dungeon, Planet Zoo 2, Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition, Valor Mortis, Among the Trolls, over the hill and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. Beyond These Stars is set for October 16.
Why it matters
On GeForce NOW the game runs on Nvidia servers and the picture streams to the player's device. Anyone who already owns the title on a supported store, or has Game Pass access, can play on a weaker machine. E-Day and Galactic Racer on launch day show that GeForce NOW in October is not only a rerun list. The same window overlaps the Advanced Shader Delivery rollout for RTX GPUs, covered in a recent Geekiki story on shader load times.
