Evangelion Cross Reflections gets a new teaser and slips to 2027 in VR and mixed reality

Evangelion Cross Reflections has a new teaser. Pixelity, a South Korean virtual-reality studio, published the video for Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections, the first extended-reality game based on Neon Genesis Evangelion. The footage was first shown at a hands-on preview in San Francisco and circulated more widely this week, according to the project's official account and Anime News Network.

The title is the first part of a planned trilogy. Pixelity says the game covers episodes 1 to 11 of the 1995 TV series and adds a new story inside the timeline of all 26 episodes. Launch has moved to 2027, after a delay from the original 2026 window.

What the player does

Instead of starting as Shinji, the player explores the world of Evangelion as an original character whose goal is to become a pilot. There are quests and battles tied to the anime timeline, co-op with series characters, and original NERV trainees. The pitch mixes virtual reality and mixed reality.

The newly announced cast includes Manaka Iwami as Erisa Nozaki, Gakuto Kajiwara as Martin Dasen Holloway, Tasuku Hatanaka as Tomohito Yagi, Hana Hishikawa as Rimi Okada, Takayuki Nakatsukasa as Shogo Yamamoto, and Genta Nakamura as Haruki Utsumi.

The San Francisco hands-on on September 25 brought together about 80 lottery winners and showed early story and combat modes, plus a VR recreation of NERV headquarters. The teaser carries a notice that the footage is in development and may change. The next public session announced is in Frankfurt.

Platforms, price, and an exact date inside 2027 have not been given. What the game account has confirmed is the delay, the XR format, and the narrative scope of the first part. The teaser does not replace a platform or price announcement.
