Devils' Crest reveals battle key art and in-game looks a month before premiere

The anime Devils' Crest (Demons' Crest), adapting a novel by Reki Kawahara, received battle key art and in-game character looks on October 3, 2026. The official account @demonscrestPR posted the art with the line “This is a game—and it is real.” The exclusive Prime Video premiere is still set for November 6.

What changed

Geekiki had already covered the second PV and Soala's ending theme “ReaL.” Today's update is visual: the key art shows the group charging into battle in the outfits of Actual Magic, the mixed-reality VRMMO at the center of the story. Crunchyroll and Mantan Web also report four in-game character visuals: Yuma Ashihara, Sawa Ashihara, Minagi Sano and Kenji Kondo.

This announcement does not change the date, studio or cast. The official site demonscrest-anime.com still lists a worldwide Prime Video exclusive on November 6, 2026.

Why it matters

Devils' Crest is the next Kawahara novel, from the author of Sword Art Online and Accel World, to reach anime. Production I.G is producing it, with Kenichiro Komaya directing and Shinji Ushiro as general director. The premise pairs a 2031 full-dive test with a world in which the game and reality merge. The battle key art is the first official material focused on the combat look, one month before premiere.
