Delta to Gamma no Rigakubu Note is getting an anime. The Dengeki Bunko online festival announced on Saturday, October 3, 2026, an adaptation of the science-mystery light novel written by Takuma Sakai and illustrated by Asagi Tōsaka. The reveal included a video in which Kanna Nakamura voices Rio Iwama, one of the leads, and a commemorative illustration by Lap Tsutsumi, the manga artist.
There is still no studio, main staff or premiere date. What exists for now is confirmation that the series is moving into animation.
What the story follows
The light novel follows the science club at Tsunagai High School as it investigates everyday school mysteries, mixed with a first-love story. Kadokawa published the first volume under the Dengeki Bunko imprint in November 2024. The fourth volume is scheduled for October 9, 2026. Lap Tsutsumi's manga began in April in Comic Dengeki Daioh G.
Sakai is already known for Butareba: The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig, also illustrated by Tōsaka, which received an anime in 2023. The new adaptation trades isekai for a high-school science-club mystery.
Where the announcement fits
The reveal was part of Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival Online 2026, streamed with ABEMA. Geekiki already covered other confirmations from the same event, including Kochira, Shuumatsu Teitai Iinkai and a teaser for Sabikui Bisco season 2. Delta to Gamma no Rigakubu Note is a separate announcement: a different work, author and illustrator, with no air window set.
Dengeki Online published comments from Sakai and Tōsaka along with the celebratory illustration. Until staff details arrive, the project remains at the announcement stage.
