Deep Rock Galactic Survivor arrives on PS5, Switch and Switch 2 on October 7

Deep Rock Galactic Survivor arrives on October 7, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games confirmed the port of the solo auto-shooter, already known on PC and Xbox, and announced the Knockout expansion with no release date.

What happened?

Gematsu and PlayStation Universe report the announcement: Deep Rock Galactic Survivor comes to PS5, Switch 2 and Switch on October 7. The game entered PC Early Access on February 14, 2024, left early access on Xbox Series and PC on September 17, 2025, and reached iOS and Android on November 12, 2025. Sony and Nintendo consoles were left out until now.

In the same news package, the companies unveiled the Knockout Expansion. It adds the Brawler class, the Sandblasted Corridors biome and a high-risk mission with new objectives and a boss. No date was given for that expansion.

Why it matters

Deep Rock Galactic Survivor is the survivor-like spin-off of Ghost Ship Games' co-op dwarf-miner shooter. Instead of aiming all the time, the player runs, mines and lets the gun fire on its own while waves of glyphids fill procedurally generated caves. Terrain destruction becomes tactics: a tunnel can be an escape route or a shortcut to ore.

Bringing that to Switch 2 and Switch puts the loop in a portable form, in the same window when other large ports fill the eShop. On PS5, it closes the gap for players who already knew the universe on Xbox or PC and had no Sony version.

What changes in practice?

  • Launch on October 7, 2026 on PS5, Switch and Switch 2, according to Gematsu and PlayStation Universe.
  • Solo auto-shooter, with mining and procedural caves.
  • Knockout Expansion announced: Brawler class, Sandblasted Corridors biome and a high-risk mission boss, still undated.
  • PC, Xbox and mobile already had the game; Sony and Nintendo are the new step.

The official description, carried by PlayStation Universe, sums up the pitch: kill bugs, upgrade gear and delve deeper into the lethal caves of Hoxxes, assembling an arsenal while automatic fire handles the aim.
