Arknights: Endfield arrives on Steam on October 15, 2026, the same day as the free Sanctuary of Ink update. GRYPHLINE and developer Mountain Contour made the announcement. The package also reaches PlayStation 5, PC via the official launcher and the Epic Games Store, iOS and Android.
The game is already available on those other platforms. The Steam debut puts it in a store with its own community, with cross-progression so players already on Talos-II can continue the campaign on PC.
What changes in Sanctuary of Ink
The new chapter takes the Endministrator inside a painting by Si, a Feranmut Proxy. Injured, the protagonist recovers at Yuanyuan Manor Inn, built inside a landscape she painted. Phenomena in the surrounding mountains pull the pair into a story that, according to the publisher, stretches back a decade.
Si's brush becomes an exploration tool. In the release, Mountain Contour narrative designer AJ describes the Miracle Brush: a stroke across a gap between cliffs raises a bridge. The same art, she says, changes the daily lives of the creatures in the painting.
Two Operators arrive through successive recruitment events. Si transfers damage and effects to an Inksoul and strengthens Cryo and Heat allies. Argent Flow, an old acquaintance of the Endministrator, combines sword and spear work with mounted charges on the warhorse Nuli. A later narrative event walks through paintings tied to his past.
Contract, inn and quality of life
Contingency Contract returns as Indigo Experimental Operation, with modifiers that trade advantage for restriction. One example cited by GRYPHLINE boosts combo damage but blocks further combos after two casts. For the first time, some modifiers also add attack patterns to enemies.
Between missions, Yuanyuan's Blazing Stoves lets players run a countryside inn: grow crops, raise animals, cook for guests and reinvest in the farm. Auto-Farmer helps with sowing and harvesting, and access extends to Wuling's farming area as the story progresses.
The soundtrack mixes color bass, afrobeat and UK garage, with contributions from Zhai Jinyan (Black Myth: Wukong), Ludvig Forssell (Death Stranding), the band 8:48 and Crywolf. On the technical side, the update adds equipment loadouts, more precise mouse targeting, adjustable priority for simultaneous combo skills and the ability to place field equipment straight from the depot.
