Aoki Densho Welsh & Shedar (The Azure Legend: Welsh & Shedar) released its main promotional video, extra cast and theme songs on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The 12-episode French-Japanese original premieres October 2, 2026 at 9:25 p.m. on TOKYO MX.
What happened?
The Aoki Densho Welsh & Shedar trailer follows Welsh, a countryside teen who loves to cook, and Shedar, a prince bound for the throne. Together they try to stop a despot hunting the Dofus, legendary artifacts tied to Ankama's creation myth.
Ankama — the studio behind Dofus and Wakfu — co-produces with Studio Dream Catcher. Studio Massket animates under Naoki Horiuchi, with character designs by Saori Nakashiki and music by Pierre-Jean Beaudoin and Jose Pavli.

Music
The opening is the duet “Bokura no Mirai e” by Hironobu Kageyama and Masami Okui. Kageyama also sings the ending “Omelette”.
