This weekend's Xbox Free Play Days are live: from Thursday, November 5, through Sunday, November 8, Xbox players can try eight games for free — and two of them are open to all Xbox members, with no Game Pass subscription required.
For Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential subscribers, the free games are PAYDAY 3, Nowhere Prophet, BALL x PIT, Deceive Inc and Age of Wonders 4. IXION joins with a two-hour trial during the same period.
Anno 117: Pax Romana and Crime Boss: Rockay City, meanwhile, are free for all Xbox players, no subscription needed. Progress earned during the event carries over if you decide to buy the game.
Beyond Xbox Free Play Days, the DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is free from November 6 at 12 PM Pacific Time through November 11 at 10 AM. Several games in the event are also discounted for a limited time — PAYDAY 3 at 35% off and Deceive Inc at 90% off — though discounts and availability may vary by region.
To take part, just find the games on the Xbox Store or in the subscriptions tab on your console and install them during the event window.
