Witch on the Holy Night now has an original ufotable visual alongside Fate/Zero. The art pairs Aoko Aozaki and Saber and marks two dates at once: the Japanese theatrical premiere on November 20, 2026, and the 15th anniversary of Fate/Zero.
What happened?
The TYPE-MOON × ufotable campaign published the visual on October 1. Dengeki Online describes Saber in a suit, with Aoko Aozaki behind her, about to cast something. Crunchyroll describes the pair on the Saber Motored Cuirassier motorcycle. Both readings come from the same official art, drawn by the studio behind both projects.
The official credit belongs to Kinoko Nasu and TYPE-MOON, with Aniplex, Notes and ufotable. The announcement came from the Fate/stay night account and was reported in Japan by Dengeki and in English by Crunchyroll and AnimeTV.
Why it matters
Witch on the Holy Night adapts Kinoko Nasu's visual novel, the same creative root as Fate and Tsukihime. On screen, Aoko Aozaki is a student who is actually a magician still in training, sharing a house with Alice Kuonji. The film opens in Japan on November 20, 2026, and reaches theaters in the United States and Canada on January 29, 2027, according to Crunchyroll.
The announced main cast has Haruka Tomatsu as Aoko Aozaki, Kana Hanazawa as Alice Kuonji and Yusuke Kobayashi as Soujyuro Sizuki. Masashi Takeuchi directs, with character design by Moe Tsuzuki, music by Hideyuki Fukasawa and production by ufotable under executive director Hikaru Kondo. The theme song, announced with the final trailer, is by supercell.
What changes in practice
Beyond the visual, the campaign opens a special ABEMA channel that will stream all of Fate/Zero in Japan from October 10. In the Kanto region, Fuji TV will also air episodes chosen by viewer vote from November 2, according to AnimeTV.
- Japan premiere: November 20, 2026.
- US and Canada premiere: January 29, 2027.
- Fate/Zero marathon on ABEMA: from October 10, in Japan.
- Fuji TV airing in Kanto: from November 2, with voted episodes.
For TYPE-MOON fans, the visual works as a bridge between the new film and the 2011 anime. Fate/Zero remains available on Crunchyroll outside Japan. A full country-by-country worldwide date, beyond the US and Canada, has not been detailed yet.
