WiCi One is WiCi's pitch to remove the cable from the eGPU equation: a box with a desktop GPU that sends graphics and AI compute to nearby laptops, tablets and other devices over Wi-Fi 7. The first public reveal of WiCi One is in New York on October 5 and 6, 2026, and the company says shipping starts in December.
What happened?
WiCi One is not an empty enclosure. It is a compact computer with an Nvidia GPU, a CPU, storage and a Wi-Fi 7 radio. The entry edition uses a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB of GDDR7 and is listed at $2,599, with early signup from $1,999. The RTX 5090 edition, with 32 GB of GDDR7, is also listed. One section of the product page shows $9,999, while another says 5090 pricing will be announced closer to launch. Until WiCi locks the number, $9,999 should be read as a comparison figure, not a final price list.
Coverage from Digital Trends and Guru3D describes the 5060 Ti model with an Intel Core 3 100U and 1 TB of NVMe, and the 5090 model with a Core Ultra 7 (255H in some reports, 225H in others) and up to 4 TB of SSD. That CPU split has not been unified.
Why it matters
A classic eGPU needs Thunderbolt or OCuLink. WiCi One replaces that cable with Wi-Fi 7 and a virtual GPU driver. A thin laptop could use ray tracing, DLSS and open models on the local network. Company figures, not independent tests, cite 80 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with DLSS 4 on the 5060 Ti and 110 fps on the 5090 edition. For local AI, WiCi claims about 140 tokens per second on Gemma 4 26B with the 5060 Ti, more than 500 on the 5090, and about 5 tokens per second on Kimi K3 on the larger box.
Even a 4x4 Wi-Fi 7 link sits well below Thunderbolt 5. Games are latency sensitive, and WiCi has not published an independent latency measurement. The product is pitched first as a home compute node and only then as a gaming machine.
What changes in practice?
- A cabled eGPU is still safer for laptop gaming until latency reviews exist.
- Open-model users can treat WiCi One as a shared GPU server.
- The early price of $1,999 already buys a desktop 5060 Ti.
- Shipping is slated for December 2026.
