Umaru-chan 100 is Sankaku Head's new manga in the Himouto! Umaru-chan universe. It launches on October 1, 2026 on Shueisha's digital platform Young Jump+. The author announced the title during a Niconico livestream on Saturday.
What happened?
Himouto! Umaru-chan ran in Weekly Young Jump from 2013 to 2017 and ended at 12 volumes. A short sequel, Himouto! Umaru-chan G, followed in 2017–2018. Almost eight years after the main series ended, Sankaku Head is back with the hamster-hooded slacker — this time on Young Jump+.
There is no long official synopsis yet. The title points to a new numbering, not a simple reprint. Seven Seas published the original in English; there is no confirmed Western license for Umaru-chan 100.
Why it matters
Umaru-chan was a 2010s otaku-comedy landmark with two TV anime seasons. A return by the original author, not a reboot by another studio, matters to both manga readers and anime-only fans. Young Jump+ is where Shueisha parks digital sequels and revivals.
What changes in practice
The first chapter should appear on Young Jump+ on October 1. Cadence, print volumes and any anime remain unannounced — treating an adaptation as fact would be speculation.
