CD Projekt Red confirmed the worldwide unlock for The Witcher 3 Remastered: September 29 at 10:00 UTC. Owners on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series get the upgrade for free. Most stores have no preload; the package is about 45 GB.
What changes
The remaster is more than a visual pass. CDPR lists updated graphics, revised combat, new animations, stronger Sign effects, adjusted monster behavior, reworked riding, a redesigned skill tree, armor transmog and an expanded photo mode. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are bundled and already free for base-game owners.
New platforms
Besides GOG, Steam, Epic, PS5 and Xbox Series, the remaster launches natively on Nintendo Switch 2. Switch owners can claim the Switch 2 version. The title also arrives on Battle.net through a Blizzard partnership. On Xbox it supports Play Anywhere.
