Japanese studio Libragames confirmed that deduction puzzle Thank You 4 Playing launches on Steam on January 8, 2027. The announcement landed on September 25, 2026 via Famitsu and the official store page. The paid build expands the August browser prototype.
What happened?
You play someone who must beat a hard action game on launch day. There is no direct combat: you read an in-game social feed, filter useful tips from noise and fill a strategy notebook for each boss. The stated influence is Return of the Obra Dinn. Playtime is two to three hours.
The August Unityroom build was free and time-limited. Steam adds a new UI and logo, boss Ghostman, two extra social characters, about 25% more content, redrawn endings and post-ending art. Illustrations remain by Seramical. The studio says translation costs blocked a free Steam release and it will try to keep the price low.
Why it matters
The prototype spread among Japanese streamers because it models internet guide culture: you judge posts, not only a static grid. A Steam release with extra languages and bosses moves it off disposable browser jams.
What changes in practice
August players get a larger cut and new finales. New players can wishlist the Steam page. Date: January 8, 2027. Sources: Famitsu and Automaton.
