Terraria crossplay Phase One is in the finishing touches, according to Re-Logic's September 2026 State of the Game. Ted "Loki" Murphy said the team is wrapping that work plus leftover fixes after 1.4.5.7.
What happened?
The first submission for the Terraria crossplay update should be ready "in the near future." Murphy pledged to share that moment. Version 1.4.6 is framed as the update that pulls it all together. After the first test build is in people's hands, Phase Two should follow as soon as possible. There is also a tease of "a little something for everyone" between the two phases.
What Terraria crossplay changes
The game is not full crossplay today. PC and mobile already share a networking layer on 1.4.5; consoles talk inside their family. The missing piece is a complete link across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Switch 2 and mobile. Phase One is the first official slice of that bridge.
Why it matters
Terraria is past 15 years and still shipping updates. Crossplay is one of the oldest community requests. There is no locked date — only an operational signal, not a launch announcement.
