Take-Two has stopped the unofficial native GTA 5 ports for Nintendo Switch and Android. Project lead Mojso said Paralympics Productions will shut down on October 3 after a cease-and-desist from Rockstar’s parent, according to GameSpot and Dexerto.
What happened?
The group had shown GTA 5 running natively on the original Switch, without streaming, and was also building an Android version. A public release was said to be days away. After the letter, Mojso thanked Take-Two for its “mercy,” said no builds or source will be released, and said no one will take over.
Reports say the work relied on leaked GTA 5 source code, not only reverse engineering. Take-Two this month restated rules that ban adapting its games to unsupported devices. GTA 5 was never released on Switch.
In practice
Players waiting for a Switch or phone binary will not get one. Mobile options remain emulation and cloud streaming. Mojso called the shutdown definitive and apologized to supporters.
There is still no official Rockstar port of GTA 5 for Switch or native Android. Take-Two’s move targets a fan project, not an authorized SKU.
