Steel Ball Run Netflix resumes this Friday, September 25, 2026. After the standalone 1st STAGE in March, David Production continues Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli's race with 11 weekly episodes covering the manga's 2nd and 3rd STAGES.
What happened?
Netflix's Tudum says the 2nd STAGE of Steel Ball Run Netflix goes live at 1 a.m. PDT on Friday. New episodes drop every Friday through December 4, 2026. The batch adapts the Devil's Palm desert and introduces Funny Valentine, Mountain Tim and Hot Pants.
The 47-minute first episode premiered March 19, 2026 and then sat for months. In July at Anime Expo, the studio and Netflix brought back JoJo Fridays. The show is Netflix-exclusive and is not on Crunchyroll.
Why it matters
Steel Ball Run is Part 7 of JoJo and the first arc set in 1890 America. Directors Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi reuse the David Production crew from earlier seasons. Japanese cast additions include Tomokazu Sugita as Funny Valentine, Tomoaki Maeno as Mountain Tim and Yoko Hikasa as Hot Pants. The English dub keeps Daman Mills and Kaiji Tang as Johnny and Gyro.
What changes in practice
Viewers who finished the 1st STAGE can jump in on Steel Ball Run Netflix. Newcomers will find the opener in the worldwide catalog, along with Parts 1 through 6. This fall batch does not finish the story: the manga has nine STAGES, and trade coverage still expects further cours through 2028.
