Sony Indefinitely Delays Pulse Elevate Speakers Launch Due to Production Issue

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the indefinite delay of the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, which were scheduled to arrive in stores on November 12, 2026. The decision was communicated in a November 6 update on the PlayStation Blog.

What happened

During ongoing quality testing, the company identified a “production issue” with the product. According to the official statement: “As part of our ongoing quality testing of Pulse Elevate speakers, we have identified a production issue with the product and have made the decision to delay the launch. The additional time will allow us to ensure the product will deliver the experience we intended for our players.”

Sony apologized for the delay and thanked fans for their patience, without providing a new launch date. Pre-orders had been open since September, with a recommended price of $219.99 (around £199.99 in the UK and €219.99 in Europe).

Product features

The Pulse Elevate are the first wireless speakers developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment for desktop gaming. They feature studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers, built-in woofers, a microphone with AI-enhanced noise rejection, ultra-low latency PlayStation Link connectivity, and Tempest 3D Audio support. They are portable with a rechargeable battery and compatible with PS5, PC, Mac, PlayStation Portal, and Bluetooth devices.

Available in Midnight Black (global) and White (select markets), the delay comes just days before the planned launch and resembles other PlayStation accessory postponements, such as the FlexStrike arcade stick.
