Slay the Spire 2: Mega Crit returns from break with teaser of a new area and a floating creature

Mega Crit published the September Neowsletter for Slay the Spire 2 and confirmed the team is back at work after a break in Barcelona. There is still no date for the next patch, but the studio says internally tested work is big: modes, content, fixes and quality-of-life changes.

What happened?

The highlight is the return of Spire Spotting. Developers say they found another area of the Spire still “shrouded in darkness” and show the silhouette of one inhabitant: a small, floating being that looks “almost cute.”

The zone will not be fully revealed soon. Meanwhile Mega Crit asked fans to submit art of the creature by Thursday, October 8, via fanmail@megacrit.com or the official Discord fan-art channel.

Why it matters

Slay the Spire 2 is in early access and the studio has already previewed alternate acts and a new character. The teaser suggests more map and bestiary than the current beta shows. This is not a patch announcement; it is a content hint still in the lab.

What else was in the letter
