Sifu iOS Android: Sloclap brings the kung fu brawler to phones on October 12

Sifu iOS Android arrives on October 12, 2026. Sloclap confirmed the mobile date on Thursday and released an announcement trailer for iPhone and Android.

What happened?

According to the developer announcement, as reported by Gematsu, the phone version launches on October 12. The game is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store. The original console and PC edition launched in February 2022.

The mobile version includes the free updates released since then: difficulty options, modifiers, outfits and Arenas mode. Sloclap has said the title sold more than 4 million copies. In 2022, Sifu was nominated at The Game Awards for Best Independent Game, Best Action Game and Best Fighting Game.

Why it matters

Sifu is not a simple beat’em up. The player controls a young martial artist seeking revenge. Each death ages the character: stronger in some ways, more fragile in others. Combat is inspired by Pak Mei, built around reading patterns, precise defense and clean execution. That loop is what separates the game from a generic action port.

Bringing that close-quarters combat to phones widens the audience, but it also raises a practical question. The game was designed for a controller. Sloclap has not yet detailed, in the material cited by Gematsu, whether iOS and Android will officially support physical controllers or whether the main experience will be touch controls.

What changes in practice

  • Date: October 12, 2026 on iOS and Android.
  • Content: campaign, free updates, adjustable difficulty, modifiers, outfits and Arenas.
  • Players who already finished it on console or PC should expect the same base game, not a cut-down spin-off.
  • Price and minimum device requirements were not detailed in the announcement summarized by Gematsu.
