Shonen Jump+ ends contract with Shihei Lin; SPY×FAMILY and Dandadan continue under a new setup

The editorial team of Shonen Jump+, Shueisha's manga app, announced on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, that it has ended the outsourcing of editorial services to Mix Green, the company of editor Shihei Lin — known for work on Chainsaw Man, SPY×FAMILY and Dandadan.

According to the official statement on Jump+'s X account, Shueisha ended the editorial outsourcing to Mix Green on July 31, 2026. The outsourced relationship with Lin ended with it. Titles he had been handling on the app, the publisher said, will continue serialization on Jump+ under a new structure.

What Lin said

The same day, Lin posted a notice on behalf of Mix Green. He said the company signed direct contracts with the creators of four ongoing series and will keep handling editorial work on those titles:

  • SPY×FAMILY by Tatsuya Endō
  • Dandadan by Yukinobu Tatsu
  • Centuria by Tohru Kuramori
  • WITCHRIV by Hakuri

In short: the Shueisha–Mix Green outsourcing deal is over, but Lin says his editorial work with those four authors continues.

Why it matters

Lin joined Shueisha in 2006 and left in August 2022. He then kept editing titles he had already worked on as a freelancer and later through Mix Green. In April 2026 the company launched its own manga platform and began taking submissions.

Today's announcement does not explain why the outsourcing ended. It also does not say the series are leaving Jump+. What is confirmed is the end of the institutional relationship between the publisher and Lin's company, and the continuation of the four titles on the app, with Lin claiming editorial duties via direct contracts with the artists.

So far, Shueisha and Mix Green have not published a joint timeline for how Jump+'s “new structure” and Mix Green's direct contracts will coexist day to day.
