Sabikui Bisco season 2 received its first teaser visual on Saturday, October 3, 2026, during the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival Online, streamed on ABEMA. The official image, posted by the anime account, shows protagonists Bisco Akaboshi and Milo Nekoyanagi ready for action, with a line about a sighting report in Izumo.
What happened?
The first season of Sabikui Bisco (Rust-Eater Bisco) aired in the Japanese winter of 2022 at studio OZ, directed by Atsushi Ikariya with series composition by Sadayuki Murai. It adapts Shinji Cobkubo's light novel, illustrated by K Akagishi and published by Dengeki Bunko. A continuation was promised in 2023, but season 2 still had no date and no public studio confirmation.
The official post says further updates will come from @SABIKUI_BISCO. Crunchyroll reported the image the same day and noted that no premiere date has been set.
Why it matters
Sabikui Bisco is one of the Dengeki light novels that traveled well outside Japan. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic Japan eaten by the Rust Wind, where wanted archer Bisco hunts a mushroom said to devour rust, alongside doctor Milo. The teaser does not reveal cast, staff or format, but the Izumo line suggests a new stretch of the journey rather than a recycle of season 1.

- Art text: a sighting report in Izumo.
- Date, studio and cast for the sequel have not been announced.
What changes in practice?
For viewers, the announcement pulls the sequel out of limbo, but it does not set a calendar. Season 1 remains the available reference, and the official account is the channel for staff, date and any streaming window. This teaser is a visual update, not a confirmed premiere.
