Razer has announced the Hammerhead V3 Chroma, wired in-ear earbuds aimed at gaming on phones, handhelds and PC. The model launched on November 5, 2026, and is already on sale for $79.99 — €89.99 in Europe.
Dual drivers and ANC
The highlight is the return of the wire with features that, until now, were more common in wireless models: feed-forward active noise cancellation (ANC) to muffle ambient sound, and a dual-driver architecture on each side — an 11 mm dynamic driver for the lows and a dedicated 6 mm tweeter for the highs.
THX 7.1, 90° USB-C and RGB
On PC, the earbuds unlock THX 7.1 surround sound through the Razer Synapse app, with audio presets for gaming, music, movies and calls, plus a customizable equalizer. The connector is a digital USB-C plug angled at 90°, designed not to interfere with the grip of a phone or handheld in landscape mode, and the build is IPX4-rated against sweat and splashes.
An in-line remote lets users adjust the volume, control playback and switch ANC on or off without leaving the game, while the built-in omnidirectional microphone handles team communication. Like every Chroma product, each earbud has customizable RGB lighting, with 16.8 million colors and effects that sync with the Razer ecosystem.
The return of the wire
The Hammerhead V3 Chroma succeeds the wired Hammerhead V2, launched more than ten years ago, and arrives as a bet on wired audio in a market dominated by wireless earbuds: zero latency, no audio compression and no battery to charge.
