The Psyren anime staff revealed on Monday, September 28, 2026 the ending theme: ICARUS by Who-ya Extended. The series premieres October 5 at 11 p.m. Japan time on Tokyo MX and BS11, then Sun TV. Crunchyroll streams worldwide except Japan and China.
What happened?
The announcement also confirms a world premiere of episode 2 at the Global Stage Hollywood Film Festival on October 3 at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Episode 1 gets its West Coast premiere at the same event. Manga creator Toshiaki Iwashiro will attend.
The Psyren anime is produced by Satelight, directed by Katsumi Ono, with series composition by Shin Yoshida and character design by Akira Okuma. Music is by Takashi Omama, Tatsuhiko Saiki and Shu Kanematsu. Remow holds the international license. The opening is WARNING!! by CLAN QUEEN. Remow said the adaptation covers the manga through its conclusion.
Why it matters
Psyren ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2007 to 2010 (16 volumes; Viz published English editions from 2011 to 2014) and never had an anime. The debut arrives about 16 years after serialization ended. Who-ya Extended, known for Psycho-Pass 3 openings, handles the ending.
