GTA 6 pre-loading begins on November 10, 2026. Rockstar Games officially confirmed the details on November 3: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will be able to download the game early to play at launch on November 19.
Pre-load dates and times
On PS5, digital pre-loading starts at midnight local time for each player on November 10. On Xbox Series X|S, it begins globally at 12 a.m. GMT the same day. Physical (code-in-box) versions will be available in stores from November 12.
File size
The pre-load file requires up to 212 GB of free space, depending on the device. Rockstar recommends freeing enough space for the download and possible launch updates. Physical versions contain no disc — only a download code.
On launch day (November 19), Rockstar will also make an official cover art poster and a map of Leonida available as a free digital download on the site, plus a printed physical version for $0.99 in the official store.
