The Pokémon Company confirmed the Pokémon Pokopia + Expansion Pass bundle for Nintendo Switch 2. The boxed edition arrives on October 29, 2026 in Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with pre-orders from October 1.
What happened?
Pokopia launched on March 5, 2026 as a Switch 2 exclusive and was the first Nintendo-published Game-Key Card title. The box requires a software download of about 10 GB plus internet for the first session.
The package includes the base game and the Expansion Pass. Existing owners only need the standalone pass. Buyers get a Berry Furniture set code and 30 rare Pokémetal ingots.
Why it matters
Game-Key Cards remain controversial. The same day, a physical Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 edition also lands in Japan.
In practice
Asian shoppers who do not own Pokopia can buy base plus DLC in one box. Prices include HK$718 and NT$2,920.
