The Pokémon Company set the date: Pokémon HOME will connect the Switch remakes of FireRed and LeafGreen on October 7, 2026. Maintenance runs 9:00–15:00 JST, then apps jump to version 4.1.0.
Kanto catches can move into HOME and onward to compatible games. The path is one-way: once a Pokémon leaves FireRed or LeafGreen, it cannot return.
What Pokémon HOME 4.1.0 changes
Premium storage rises from 6,000 to 9,000 boxes at the same subscription price. Japanese reports also mention a long-absent Mitsurin Celebi for a completed software Pokédex.
Rules
- Only species that exist in the destination game can move there.
- You cannot send other-game Pokémon back into FireRed or LeafGreen.
- HOME is offline during the October 7 maintenance window.
