What happened?
Bandai Namco Filmworks confirmed that the second cour of One Punch Man Season 3 will premiere in January 2027. The announcement includes a new official trailer and the opening theme by JAM Project titled "Never Done ~Supreme Power vs Ultimate Fear~".
The trailer escalates the clash between the Hero Association and the Monster Association, featuring Saitama, Genos, Garou, and new elements from the saga. Production remains with J.C.Staff under director Shinpei Nagai.
Why does this matter?
Season 3 Part 1 sparked intense community debate over animation quality. Confirmation of Part 2 and the return of JAM Project (known for iconic franchise openings) renews expectations for the adaptation of the lengthy Monster Association saga from the manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata.
As the anime marks roughly a decade and the manga has sold tens of millions of copies, the continuation keeps hype high for shonen and action fans.
What changes in practice?
Fans can expect new episodes in early 2027. Streaming should follow previous patterns: Hulu in the US, Crunchyroll and other platforms in specific regions. The trailer is already available on the official Bandai Namco and VIZ Media YouTube channels.
JAM Project's opening promises the series' classic energetic style, helping rebuild momentum after Part 1 criticisms.
