The free urban RPG NTE: Neverness to Everness enters Version 1.4 today, September 30, 2026 — “For Whom the Verses Mourn” in the West. After Tokyo-time maintenance from 07:00 to 12:00 JST, the game unlocks Pukaland, S-rank witch Kurobane (Blackbird) and the second Porsche collab.
What happened?
Hotta Studio and Perfect World Games confirmed the 1.4 go-live after the September 16 preview show. The season lasts about six weeks in two 21-day halves.
The first half (September 30–October 21) adds Kurobane on the limited board “Foretold Finale,” a Lacrimosa rerun and main chapter “The Witch.” The second half (October 21–November 11) adds guitarist Akane Rin on “Dazzling Star” plus side story “To Us, Back Then.”
Why it matters
NTE is a supernatural open world set in a modern city, free on PS5, PC (official client, Steam and Epic), Mac, iOS and Android. Version 1.4 is the largest content drop since launch: a park with more than ten real attractions, not just a painted backdrop.
Kurobane flies in the field and deals soul damage with instant chaining. Akane Rin fights with a guitar and closes the Nekotori!!!! band plot at Claymon Academy’s festival.
What changes in practice?
- Pukaland opens today, with travel stamps and events through November 11.
- Porsche collab #2 adds two new cars to the open world.
