Microsoft Casual Games launched Microsoft Jewel today as a standalone iOS and Android app. It is the team's fifth mobile title and its first new phone launch in seven years, according to Xbox Wire.
What happened
Microsoft Jewel already existed on PC, inside Microsoft Solitaire Collection and in the Rewards tab of the Xbox mobile app. It now has its own store listing, daily challenges and the familiar loop of matching three or more jewels.
Sign in with a Microsoft account and progress syncs across iOS, Android and PC.
Why the Achievements matter
There are 28 Xbox Achievements and 1,000 Gamerscore. Tough ones include finishing level 30 and scoring one billion points in a single run. Game Pass members get Premium on PC; Ultimate members get those benefits on PC and mobile.
What it means
Microsoft Casual Games is expected to join King inside Xbox. Microsoft Jewel still ships as its own free product with ads for non-subscribers.
