RideonJapan has announced Mercenaries Grace: Black Feather and the Golden Right Arm, the latest entry in its Mercenaries Saga tactical RPG series. The Japan release is set for November 2026 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The studio told Gematsu an English version is also in preparation.
What is the game?
Players form a mercenary company, level characters, equip skills and gear, and clear stages on quarter-view grid maps. Roles include close-range fighters, long-range gunners and support priests.
Combat changed
Instead of a full allied phase followed by a full enemy phase, Mercenaries Grace uses a chess- or shogi-style system: one allied unit acts, then one enemy unit. You cannot safely reposition the whole squad first. Every move can be answered immediately.
RideonJapan’s press release also describes a ladder class system with more branches than earlier games in the series, and character art by mitsu_plus.
Why it matters
It is a smaller-studio Japanese SRPG with a near-term Japan date and a public English-localization pledge. Tactics fans on Switch and PC get another grid game whose initiative rule differs from the Fire Emblem default.
